James Arlowe bends the cardinal elements of bluesy folk and rustic rock, harmoniously launching it into the orbit of electric-pop earning a reputation for his gallant alchemy of sound scoping, creating a seamless listening experience.
Since relocating back to New York City from the Jersey Shore, the multi-faceted musician, poet, and visual artist has recently released a new solo album, Neon Atlantic as well as a self-published poetry book titled Cry of the Wild: Poetry & Field Guide and Delta Visions a collection of abstract charcoal drawings as well as numerous sculptures and paintings after a stint fronting the band James Arlowe and the Ruffian Circus.
His previous solo EP dubbed The 7 Kind was released in 2010 and James Arlowe & The Ruffian Circus released Insignificant Fire in 2012, which garnered multiple positive reviews in The Star Ledger and The Aquarian as well as earned Asbury Music Awards nominations for Best Male Lead Vocalist, and Best Live Band.
James Arlowe has performed at such prestigious venues including Starland Ballroom, The Circus Maximus at Caesars Palace, Cipriani, The Bitter End, The Stone Pony and he has made appearances at several notable festivals like Vans Warped Tour and CBGB Festival and has toured multiple times throughout the Mid-West, South and East Coast.
